One of Emergency Management’s core capabilities is Public Information and Warning. Lake of the Woods County Emergency Management utilizes a variety of methods to keep the public informed, including through our website, social media pages, classroom training, and our mass notification system.
CODERED
CodeRED –Onsolve allows county and city public safety officials to send emergency messages to you by cell phone, e-mail, and/or text message. If you would like to receive CodeRED messages, please sign up by clicking on the link below. The Lake of the Woods County Sheriff’s Office contracts with CodeRED – Onsolve to provide emergency notification services to the community.
The Sheriff’s Office has provided an initial database of residential and business landline telephone numbers. However, all residents living within Lake of the Woods County limits are encouraged to click the link below and enroll additional contact information, including cell phone numbers, text and e-mail addresses. CodeRED Testing
The Sheriff’s Office tests the CodeRED – Onsolve system on the first Wednesday every month at 1:00 p.m.
Caller ID – NOTIFICATIONS
The default Caller ID for CodeRED is 1-206-536-3695. We recommend saving this number in your phone under “CodeRED.” You can also redial that number to replay the message in full or you can check your voicemail if you missed the call. Text alerts will be sent from 38671 or 24639 (please note that these numbers may change due to technical or administrative reasons).
